Governor Greg Abbott appointed two new members to the Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board (TALCB): Tony “Mark” Luna Jr. and Clayton Ripley. Both received Senate Confirmation. He also appointed Board Member R. Chance Bolton as the new Board chair and reappointed Stephanie Robinson, Ph.D. (pictured below).
R. Chance Bolton
Bolton was appointed on May 19, 2025 to serve as TALCB chair. He previously served the Board as vice chair and was appointed as an appraiser member in 2016.
Bolton is a Texas Certified General Real Estate Appraiser and a licensed real estate broker. He is the president of Bolton Real Estate Consultants LLC, a more than 50-year-old commercial real estate appraisal company specializing in complex appraisal assignments throughout Texas.

Tony “Mark” Luna Jr.
Luna is a Lubbock native and was appointed to the Board as an appraiser member with a term set to expire January 31, 2031.
He is the managing director of the Valbridge Property Advisors Lubbock Office, and he holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas Tech University.
Clayton Ripley
Ripley, from Austin, was appointed to the Board as a public member with a term set to expire January 31, 2031. He also serves as board member and treasurer of the Texas Land Trust Council.
Ripley holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Baylor University and is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Stephanie Robinson, Ph.D.
Robinson (pictured right), of McKinney, serves the Board as a public member and was first appointed in 2019. Her new Board term is set to expire January 31, 2031. She also serves on several public and nonprofit boards.
Robinson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management, a Master of Science, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Learning Technologies from the University of North Texas.
