AUSTIN, TX - The Texas Appraiser Licensing & Certification Board (TALCB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Julia Hayes and the reappointment of David Mentesana to the Appraisal Management Company (AMC) Advisory Committee with terms to expire in January 2022.  The Vice-Chair of TALCB, Martha Gayle Reid Lynch, will continue to serve as the chair of the AMC Advisory Committee. This committee advises the Board on all matters related to the regulation of Appraisal Management Companies.

Julia Hayes of Beaumont is a shareholder at Lawrence, Blackburn, Meek, Maxey & Co., P.C. She is an executive board member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She specializes in audits of manufacturing and not-for-profit organizations, and employee benefit plans. Additionally, she is a board member of the Catholic Foundation of the Diocese of Beaumont, Inc. Hayes received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Lamar University.

Mr. Mentesana of Dallas is the Managing Director for MyAMC, LLC.  With over 20 years working in the appraisal industry, Mr. Mentesana has a wide range of experience, including roles as Senior Vice President of LandSafe Appraisal, SVP of Bank of America, and VP with ServiceLink Valuation.  Mr. Mentesana is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in Texas and Virginia, as well as a licensed Real Estate Broker in Texas.  He also holds the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute and received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Southern Methodist University. He enjoys spending time with his wife Regina and three children, Matthew, Katie and Emily.
