License Holder Search

At the November Board meeting, TALCB chair Sara Oates asked public member Stephanie Robinson to share her views on the work and mission of the Board.  Her thoughts are below:

The agency exists to safeguard the public interest and protect consumers of real estate appraisal services. The agency also provides education and licensing services, as well as regulation and enforcement of state and federal laws and requirements that govern real property appraisals. Through these services, the agency ensures the availability of qualified and ethical service providers, thereby facilitating economic growth and opportunity across Texas.

As your Board, we are public servants appointed by our Governor to ensure we maintain the agency's integrity, protect Texans, and create economic opportunities by eliminating unnecessary barriers for our appraisers.

It is a privilege to serve our state in this capacity and work alongside our stakeholders while establishing policy and rules to propel our industry forward!

I want to take this time to thank the team members at our great agency. This includes all staff members who have maintained an unwavering commitment to serve our consumers and appraisers during a national pandemic. This is not an easy task, but they have all served with a tremendous amount of hard work.

On behalf of this Board, I thank you for your commitment to this team and your commitment to the consumers and appraisers we serve.

Thank you, Madam Chair, for allowing me to share a few words.
