AUSTIN, TX – The Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board (TALCB) is pleased to announce the Governor’s appointment of appraiser member Rolando F. Castro to the Board with a term set to expire on January 31, 2023. Mr. Castro succeeds Jim Jefferies of Georgetown. The Board thanks Mr. Jefferies for his dedicated service to the people of Texas.
Rolando Castro of Cypress joined Cushman & Wakefield of Texas, Inc. in March 2015. Mr. Castro has over fifteen years of appraisal experience in the commercial real estate valuation, residential real estate valuation and appraisal review and has appraised a variety of property types during his career. Mr. Castro’s responsibilities have included appraisal assignments located throughout Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi.
Mr. Castro is a Designated Member, Appraisal Institute and earned his Bachelor of Science, at Texas A&M University.
TALCB is a nine-member board composed of four certified real estate appraisers and four public members appointed by the Governor to serve staggered two-year terms. The Executive Secretary of the Texas Veterans Land Board is the ex-officio ninth member.
The next meeting of the Board will be November 13, 2020. Meeting information can be found on the TALCB website. TALCB welcomes Mr. Castro to the Board and looks forward to his contributions as it pursues its mission to protect consumers in Texas.
