Appraisal Management Companies registered with TALCB must complete AMC National Registry mandatory reporting and pay the registration fee by March 31, 2024. AMCs that do not timely comply will not be added to the national registry, resulting in ineligibility to perform services on federally related transactions. In addition, failure to timely comply will result in a late fee of $500 and may result in disciplinary action.

The current registry reporting period is January 1, 2023, through December 31, 2023. Mandatory reporting can be completed by logging on to TALCB’s Online Services. Registrants must report:

• Whether the AMC oversees an appraiser panel of more than 15 appraisers in Texas or 25 or more appraisers in multiple states.
• Whether the AMC is a federally regulated AMC.
• Ownership information.
• The number of appraiser panelist who performed work on one or more covered transactions in Texas during the reporting period.

The AMC National Registry Fee is $25 per panelist that performed work on a covered transaction between January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023. This fee will be transmitted to the Appraisal Subcommittee. In addition, a 3% online processing fee will be applied, which will be transmitted to Texas Online. Neither fee is kept by TALCB.
