Renew Your Certified General Appraiser

As a Certified General Appraiser, you must renew your license every two years. A renewal notice will be sent about 90 days before your expiration date.  As part of the renewal process, you must complete certain continuing education courses to help improve your ability to deliver the highest possible quality of appraisal work. These continuing education courses are also designed to keep you informed of current developments in the appraisal field.

Renew Your Certified Residential Appraiser

As a Certified Residential Appraiser, you must renew your license every two years. A renewal notice will be sent about 90 days before your expiration date.  As part of the renewal process, you must complete certain continuing education courses to help improve your ability to deliver the highest possible quality of appraisal work. These continuing education courses are also designed to keep you informed of current developments in the appraisal field.

Renew Your Appraiser Trainee

As an Appraiser Trainee is a person who is authorized (but not licensed) by TALCB to gain legal real estate appraisal experience under the supervision of a Certified General or Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser. With this designation the Appraiser Trainee will learn about the role of the appraiser and work alongside a supervisory appraiser who will teach appraisal practices and approved techniques for assembling information about the property, analyzing data, and developing opinions of value to the Trainee.
